While the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) Championship Series presented by Engine Pro and KS Sales & Service is in full swing, the 10 race mini-series for the F.A.S.T. 305 Championship Series is ready to push off this weekend as drivers compete for the $1,500 top prize and the 2012 Championship trophy. The top ten drivers will get a share of the point fund with the 10th place finisher picking up a $500 check. In conjunction with the Kistler Racing Products F.A.S.T. Championship Series, the F.A.S.T. 305 championship hunt starts at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 18th and at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, May 19th.
The 2010 Fremont/Attica Sprint Title 305 championship was won by Stuart Brubaker who is currently competing in his rookie season behind the wheel of a 410 sprint car. Brubaker picked up the crown after a thrilling conclusion which saw seven teams start the final night with a shot at claiming the series inaugural championship.
Over the off-season the F.A.S.T. organization got a little help from a local racing legend to raise enough funds to bring back the Fremont/Attica Sprint Title championship for the tough 305 sprint car division. Thanks to Mark Keegan and the marketing partners of Jon Wright's Custom Chrome Plating, JD Automotive, Midwest Auto Sales, Commercial Motor Freight and Al Davis Carpet & Laminate the series looks to pay out at least $1,500 to the champion. Cash prizes will be handed out to the top-10 at the season's end award banquet on Saturday, November 10th. Also, both tracks have stepped up to support the F.A.S.T. 305 Championship Series and All Pro Heads is donating a set of heads to one lucky competitor.
"We're excited to have the 305 sprints back under the F.A.S.T. banner in 2012," said Bryan Autullo. "It was unfortunate that we were unable to put something together in 2011, but Mark Keegan came to me and wanted to help bring the series back. He was instrumental in making this happen. We're thrilled to have Mark's support as well as the sponsors he has brought into the fold."
The 10 race mini-series features five events at Attica Raceway Park and five events at Fremont Speedway and includes the rescheduled 305 Engine Builders Challenge at Attica on Friday, June 8th. This event features a special format and will pay the feature winner $1,200. Points accumulated over these events will ultimately decide the overall champion. With just 10 races on the schedule, the points race will be fun to watch.
There have been eight 305 sprint car feature events held in Northern Ohio and D.J. Foos has dominated the division from the start en route to collecting 5 trophies to date (four at Attica & one at Fremont). Foos opened up the season with three consecutive wins at Attica Raceway Park before 410 regular Greg Wilson climbed into Junior Felver's #13 ride to snap the streak. Other competitors who have visited Engine Pro Victory Lane include 2011 Attica Raceway Park Track Champion Nate Dussel (Attica) and Caleb Griffith (Fremont).
"We have 22 member drivers signed on to do battle for the Top 10 spots," Autullo continued. "Veterans like Paul Weaver and John Ivy. Weekly contenders like Caleb Griffith, Nate Dussel, and D.J. Foos. Up and comers like Seth Schneider and Ryan Jordan. The surprise entry is Paige Polyak who has been ride-less in 2012, but she will compete in the 10 F.A.S.T. 305 Championship Series events. This is going to be a fun series to watch."

FREMONT, Ohio – Knowledge of Fremont Speedway is certainly an advantage when ever a touring organization visits The Track That Action Built. Fremont Speedway’s tough 305 sprint division proved that Saturday on Roots Poultry Night taking five of the top seven finishing positions against the Buckeye Outlaw Super Sprints (BOSS) non-wing racers with Fostoria, Ohio’s Jamie Miller claiming the $2,000 victory.
“I enjoy taking the wing off every once and awhile…I usually run pretty good when we do. Last time I ran here non-wing I had a really bad crash and it was in this same car. It was fast then and it was fast tonight,” said Miller beside his Crown Battery backed #4m. “The first few laps I ran up top and there wasn’t much up there in one and two and I got really loose off the top there but I held my own.”
“I have to thank my dad and all my crew Jeff and Joe and my daughter, Kendra is here tonight and my girlfriend Valerie and Gressman Powersports. We had trouble with this motor when we put it in this car today and if it weren’t for Scott Gressman we wouldn’t be here right now,” added Miller in the Engine Pro Victory Lane.
In the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 winged sprints, defending Fremont Speedway champion Bryan Sebetto used a late race restart to drive from fourth into second. Then Sebetto executed a perfect slide job on Phil Gressman for the lead on lap 22 and went on to the win on a Kistler Racing Products Fremont Attica Sprint Title (FAST) Championship Series night.
“This thing was a freakin’ rocketship all night. I was just biding my time, just bumping the wing back a little bit and a little bit and right before that restart (at the halfway point) I got back too far. I yanked it all the way back and said screw it and left it there and made a couple of laps and it was really tight…a little too tight. Then when we got that caution toward the end (on lap 18) I rolled the wing back forward there a little bit and once I got by those guys and got into the lead I pulled it all the way back and just started lettin’ it rip. I don’t know if they were keeping up with me but the car felt really good,” said Sebetto in the Engine Pro Victory Lane beside his Hammer Pallets, JLH General Contractors, Gressman Powersports, Crown Battery backed #24h.
“Aaron and Guhn and Randy and Timmy P. isn’t here tonight…he’s going to be mad. These guys worked their butts off in the shop all week and they tuned it in great tonight…it was just a rocket ship and would go any where I wanted. I knew I was good around lap eight or ten when I started hitting the top down in one and two and there was no one else up there and my car was locked down up there. I was just running guys over coming off the corner and I could set them up and pull good slide jobs down in three and four. And cautions fell where they needed to to get us bunched back up. It was a lot of fun,” added Sebetto.
Art Ball went to the cardiologist this week and said, “it don’t sound good.” But, the 73-year-old Tiffin, Ohio driver didn’t seem to let that bother him. Ball, who has more victories at Fremont Speedway than any other driver in the track’s 61 year history (Ball has been racing for 51 years), held off a last week’s winner Dustin Keegan to score his 72nd career victory at The Track That Action Built.
“I’m tired. I told the cardiologist it’s a good thing they didn’t have that monitor in last Saturday (Ball battled with Dustin Keegan for the win). Dustin got under me a couple of times…he raced me clean just like I did him last week,” said Ball beside his Kear’s Speed Shop, Distel’s Septic Service, Ritzler Accounting, Chaney Roofing backed #01.
So, after scoring the win, what will Ball tell his cardiologist when he visits this week?
“I’m not sure yet. I’m going to tell him I didn’t do anything this weekend but sit in my lawn chair,” joked Ball.
The 25-lap non-wing sprint feature – which was sanctioned by the BOSS and Michigan Traditional Sprint Series – didn’t get off to a good start. The first attempt saw a massive collision involving Critter Malone, Mark Cassila and Dustin Smith. On the second try the red flew when Cory Crabtree, Chuck Wilson, Brian Smith, Mike Burkin and Dustin Dinan collided in turn three with Crabtree heading to the hospital with neck and back soreness. On the third attempt, Wilson would spin.
Once the race got going, it was a barn-burner as pole-sitter Roger Shammo took the lead over fellow 305 sprint drivers Miller and Stuart Brubaker with Tony Beaber right on their tails. Miller would rim-ride to Shammo’s outside on lap two as they battled side-by-side over the next two laps before Miller drove into the lead on lap 4. Miller narrowly avoided catastrophe on lap seven when he slid off the high side of turns one and two. But, he collected his machine back up and continued to lead with Shammo, Brubaker and Beaber locked in a torrid battle for second with 16th starter Steve Irwin closing.
Miller, who used the low line in turns one and two and the high groove in turns three and four, pulled away slightly while Shammo and Brubaker battled hard for second with Beaber and Irwin in tow. On lap 10 Brubaker, a three-time Fremont 305 sprint champion, finally got around Shammo for second. Miller’s patience was put to the test when he caught the back of the field on lap 14 as they raced side-by-side in front of him. This allowed Brubaker to close while Shammo was locked in a battle with Beaber and Irwin for third.
Miller and Brubaker raced nose to tail and at times side-by-side splitting lapped cars over the next six laps. Beaber would drive into third on lap 18, but traffic kept him from closing on the top two machines. With five laps to go Brubaker took a peak at Miller’s inside, but Miller held off the challenge and went on to his 10th career Fremont victory. Brubaker, Beaber, Irwin and Mike Burkin, who came from the tail after that opening lap incident, rounded out the top five.
Byron Reed and Broc Martin would lead the 410 winged field to the green for their 30-lap feature, but Brad Bowman would crash hard in turn three to halt the action before a lap could be completed. On the second attempt, Reed would drive into the lead over Martin, Brian Lay, Cole Duncan, Phil Gressman, Chris Andrews and Sebetto. Martin would spin in turn two after a lap was scored and on the restart, Gressman used the high line to drive around both Duncan and Lay into second. Duncan would move into third on lap three with Andrews taking fourth a lap later.
While Reed used the low line all the way around the speedway, Gressman would use the high side in turns three and four and the bottom in one and two, and by lap seven had closed on Reed’s rear bumper. As they raced to the flag stand to complete the ninth circuit, Gressman blasted off the high side of turn four to grab the lead with Reed trying to regain the top spot on the bottom of turns one and two as they raced into heavy lapped traffic. Duncan would continue to run third with Andrews, Sebetto, Lay and Dean Jacobs battling for fourth.
Gressman sliced his way through the lapped machines and started to pull away when the yellow flew at the half-way point for a Jody Keegan spin in turn four. The restart running order was Gressman, the lapped machine of Matt Linder, Reed, Duncan, the lapped car of Caleb Helms, Andrews and Sebetto. When the green flew, Gressman pulled away from Reed who quickly disposed of the lapped car as did Duncan, while Sebetto drove around Andrews into fourth. Martin would spin again on lap 18 to bunch up the field.
On the ensuing restart, Sebetto would rocket around the high side in turns one and two, driving around Duncan and Reed into second. With nine laps remaining, Sebetto was on Gressman’s rear bumper and as they entered turn three, he executed the slider for the lead with Gressman attempting to return the favor in turns one and two but to no avail.
With four laps to go, Sebetto and Gressman were in heavy lapped traffic, but Sebetto was able to drive his car any where to negotiate the back markers. Gressman would finish second, with Andrews making a late race charge to finish third with Duncan and Reed rounding out the top five.
In the 20-lap Fremont Fence Dirt Truck feature, Kent Brewer and Craig Holland would bring the field to the green. Brewer would grab the lead while ball would use the low groove to vault into second, bringing Cory Ward to third. Ball would drive under Brewer on the second circuit for the lead.
The first caution would fly on lap four for a stalled Jimmy McGrath Jr. with the running order Ball, Brewer, Willie Keegan, Chuck Roelle, Dustin Keegan and Steve Sabo. Ball would lead on the restart with Willie Keegan getting by Brewer for second. Dustin Keegan would drive into third on lap seven just as the yellow flew for Willie Keegan who coasted to a stop on the front stretch.
Just like the previous week, Ball and Dustin Keegan would then wage a torrid battle for the lead with Sabo battling Brewer, Roelle, Bob Dible and John Ivy for third. As they completed the 13th lap, Ball would slide off the bottom in turns one and two and Keegan drove under for the lead, but it was for naught as the caution flew for a Jeff Wank spin. That gave the lead back to Ball. When the green came back out, Ball and Keegan raced side-by-side in the turns the rest of the way with Ball taking the checkered by half a truck length over Dustin Keegan with Sabo, Ivy and Dible rounding out the top five.
Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, May 29 for Ohio Logistics Night with the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints, Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints and Fremont Fence Dirt Trucks in action. It will be a Kistler Racing Products FAST Championship Series night for the 410 sprints along with a FAST event for the 305 sprints.

Mumaw makes last corner pass to take win; Davies, Dickerson and Aronhalt also victorious at NAPA AUTO PARTS Wayne County Speedway.
By Ryan Pearson
Orrville, Ohio (May 11, 2012) Under beautiful skies the packed grandstands at NAPA AUTO PARTS Wayne County Speedway race fans were treated to an exciting night of racing one that feature slide jobs, door to door and last corner passes for the win. “Our fans were treated to a show tonight” stated General Manager Jason Flory after the races. “If that sprint feature didn’t get you excited as a race fan then nothing will; I am a late model guy but that Sprint race was exciting” Flory continued.
In the Fisher Performance 410 Sprints Andrew Palker and Bryce Dickson lead the field to the green flag from their front row. Palker found the inside groove to his liking as he bolted past Dickson to take the lead. On lap four the field got settled in Palker held the point over Dickson, Mitch Harble, Danny Mumaw and Cole Duncan. As the front runners were working the inside Mumaw found the cushion next to the guardrail in turn one and two his preferred line enabling him to gain ground on the leaders. On lap seven Mumaw looked like he was riding a rocket flew down the back stretch and dove under Harble as they entered turn three. When it appeared he would be content with third. He pushed his sprint car hard under Dickson snagging two positions in one turn. Mumaw set his sights on the Palker as the laps clicked down. On lap thirteen Mumaw caught Palker and slid under him in turn three; Palker not giving up dove back under Mumaw as they drag raced down the front stretch. Palker narrowly held onto the lead over Mumaw for lap fourteen. A late race caution for Broc Martin who spun in turn two bunched the field. When the racing resumed Palker jumped out to the lead and started to stretch his lead to nearly 10 car lengths. As the final laps clicked down Mumaw again took to the high side in turns one and two and could gain valuable ground on the leader. On the final lap Mumaw caught Palker and slid under him to take the lead. But just as before Palker came back under Mumaw to regain the lead then as they entered turn four to take the checkers Mumaw slid back under and held off Palker to take the win. Rounding out the top five were Palker, Duncan, Harble and Dickson. Palker and Dickson won heat races.
In the Lias Tire Super Late Models Shane McLoughlin and Warren Pennsylvania’s Ron Davies brought the field to the green flag. McLoughlin jumped ahead of Davies to take the early lead. On lap three Davies ran the middle groove to sling shot around McLoughlin to take the lead. A tight battle ensued for the second position as Millersburg, Ohio’s Keith Berner pulled along McLoughlin trying to the second position away. As Davies began to stretch his lead, Berner continued to put pressure on McLoughlin as he they rode side by side for several laps. With Davies out front and McLoughlin in second on lap fifteen Berner again started peeking on the outside of McLoughlin for second place. McLoughlin keep his cool and held steady and kept Berner at bay. With a large lead Davies caught the back markers which allowed McLoughlin and Berner to close up on the leader. Davies kept the blistering pace and took the checker flag ahead of McLoughlin, Berner, seventh starting Corey Conley and George Lee. Markham, McLoughlin and Davies won heats and Mark Gardiner won the B-Main.
In the Bremenour Electric Modifieds Jim Nicely and Norm Aronhalt led the field to the green flag. Aronhalt powered out to the lead ahead of Nicely, Larry Kugel, Mitch Bascich and Bruce Miller. Aronhalt set a torrid pace with Nicely and Kugel in tow battling for second. Kugel closed the gap on Nicely and began putting pressure for the second position. Kugel powered past Nicely to snag the second position and tore after the leader. Aronhalt stretched is head over the field as Kugel, Nicely and Bascich attempted to chase him down. Aronhalt crossed the finish line taking the win ahead of Kugel, Nicely, Bascich and Eric Singhaus who snagged fifth place with a last lap pass. Aronhalt and Nicely won heat races.
In the Thrifty Discount Muffler Pure Stocks Jeremy Dickerson and Brandon Gardner brought the field to the green flag. From the beginning Dickerson and Gardner waged a dog fight for the lead. Side by side door handle to door handle these two waged war for the lead. Dickerson found the inside line his favorite way around the track and Gardner made the high side to his liking to hold with Dickerson. A few cautions bunched the field and when racing resumed the epic battle continued to wage. Dickerson held a narrow advantage as he and Gardner raced side by side. Tony Cline, Josh Miller, Brandon Craver round out the top five on lap seven. At the front it was still door handle to door handle for the lead as Dickerson and Gardner attempted to pull ahead of each other. On lap ten Gardner wrestled away the lead from Dickerson. On lap eleven the caution flag flew for Todd Gallion; while under caution Gardner pulled to the infield with a flat tire handing the lead back to Dickerson. Gardner took his race car pitside, changed a tire and returned to the action at the tail of the field. In the remaining laps Cline set sail for Dickerson trying to take the lead but he was unable to do so in the closing laps. Dickerson took the checkers ahead of Cline, Jeremy Lynch, Josh Miller and Brandon Craver. Gardner fought his way back to a sixth place finish. Miller, Dickerson and Gardner won heat races.

ATTICA, Ohio – Craig Mintz got revenge on Dale Blaney Friday at Attica Raceway Park.
Last month, Blaney passed Mintz on the last lap for an All Star win at Attica, but this time, it was Mintz who got around Blaney with three laps remaining to take his second win of the season on Sutton Bank Night at Ohio’s Finest Racing speed plant.
Mintz and Blaney battled each other throughout the 30-lap feature which was part of the Kistler Racing Products FAST (Fremont Attica Sprint Title) Championship Series and its season-ending $10,000 championship. Mintz led the opening lap, but Blaney grabbed the lead from laps 2-13. Mintz drove by for the top spot on lap 14 and led until lap 24 when Blaney drove under him in heavy lapped traffic exiting turn four. Blaney, who has two wins at Attica in 2012, would lead from laps 24-27 when Mintz used lapped traffic to grab the lead and went on to his 7th career victory at ARP.
Ironically, Blaney has often said he would rather be running second late in a race in lapped traffic as the leader has to pick the line and the second place car can then capitalize. Mintz did just that!
“It was kind of reversed roles on the All Star show. I can’t take anything away from Dale…he had a very good car, but when you’re racing like we were and I was in second, I could see where the lapped cars go and he moved up a little bit. I saw he was a little faster on the bottom so I figured we’d put our car down there and see if its any better and it was,” said Mintz beside his Reel Geese Decoys, R2C Filters, Erie Shore Propane, Design Graphics Group, Keller Chevrolet, Walby Construction, KS Sales and Service backed machine.
“One of our goals this year was to win another FAST championship (he won the first series title in 2009). We struggled the past couple of years but I’ll tell you what, these GF1 Race Cars (designed by Blaney’s car owner George Fisher)…you can’t take anything away from them,” added Mintz in the Engine Pro Victory Lane.
“I have to thank my Dad, Kevin, Brad, Hoagie, my uncle Earl, my fiancée…she’s not here tonight so she will probably shoot me later but she will get over it,” joked Mintz.
In the Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Models, Ada, Ohio’s Jon Henry is proving his 14-win season in 2011 was no fluke. The Steel Driver passed Cody Scott on lap five and survived a late race caution to take his second win of the season at Attica and second straight, as he posted a victory at Fremont last Saturday. It was Henry’s 11th career Attica super late model win.
“This car is awesome. I can basically put it any where I want to. We tried some stuff tonight…we were just experimenting a little bit. I have to get the slick program a little bit better and I think we did pretty good tonight. My Dad, Randy, John and Casey…these guys help me put this car together…it helps me a lot having them and all these Dirty Dozen members and Fultz Fabrications. I really appreciate everything they do for me. All these fans out here…it’s good to be back in victory lane. We have three wins now and a second…that’s pretty good. We parked that other car (last year’s) in the corner and got this one out…I think we’re going to stick with this one awhile,” said Henry adding thanks to sponsors JLH General Contractor, William H. Bass Trucking, Reproductive Assistance, Truman Quarter Horses, Re-Deck of Northwest Ohio, Home Savings and Loan, Mike and Sheila Keller, Ron Spencer Real Estate, Automated Transport, Lehman & Lehman, Norada Lanes and APC – the Dirty Dozen.
When Fremont, Ohio’s D.J. Foos took Attica’s Fremont Fence 305 Sprint championship in 2010, he was nearly untouchable, at one point winning four features in a row and five overall at the track that year. Well, don’t look now, but he’s doing it again. Foos led all 25 laps – it wasn’t easy, as Paul Weaver applied heavy pressure as they raced into heavy lapped traffic the final seven laps – to score his fourth win of the season at Attica. If you are keeping score, that’s four out of six races Foos has won. It was his fifth overall in 2012 as he scored a win at Fremont, and his 14th career win at Attica to move him into sixth all-time for the division.
Foos would use the extreme high line to pull away at times, but when he hit traffic and was forced to try other lines…well, he wasn’t nearly as fast.
“I was horrible off the top. I just like to run the top around here because all it is is a big go-kart race. You just keep it nice and straight. When I can’t run the top I’m horrible,” said Foos beside his Buckshot Farms, Pit Stop Carryout, JLH General Contractor, Automatic Fire Protection, Tender Turn Car Wash, Crown Battery, Level Performance backed #11F. “I never saw Paul (Weaver) but if I would have I don’t know what would have happened…I probably would have gassed her up a little more. This is really great to be where we are right now…but in racing, tomorrow or next week we could come out and do absolutely horrible. So we’re just going to feed off of this right now and hopefully maintain,”
Mintz and Blaney would lead the 22-car field to the green for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprint 30-lap feature with Mintz grabbing the lead while Blaney and Brian Smith raced to his inside. Blaney would drive under Mintz for the lead on lap two with Smith moving into second the following lap. Blaney, Smith and Mintz would continue to battle until lap 6 when Jody Keegan would spin to bring out the caution. The restart running order was Blaney, Smith, Mintz, Jared Ridge, Byron Reed, Lee Jacobs, Brandon Martin, Critter Malone, Todd Heller and 14th starter Dean Jacobs.
When the green came back out, Smith, who won the very first FAST race at Attica in 2009, was locked into a “David verses Goliath” battle as his used chassis, old motor and used tires tried to take the lead from Blaney with Mintz ready to pounce. Smith’s phenomenal run came to an end on lap 9 as he bounced upside down exiting turn four. Now it was Blaney leading Mintz, Ridge, Reed and Martin. Mintz would use the restart to drive to Blaney’s outside to challenge as that duo pulled away from a heated battle between Ridge and Reed. But it would come to a halt on lap 12 when Mike Linder made hard contact with the outside barrier in turn four.
On the ensuing restart, Mintz would again pressure Blaney and would finally take the top spot on lap 14, but he could not shake Blaney who stayed within striking distance.
Meanwhile Ridge, Reed, Martin, Dean Jacobs and Chris Andrews entertained the crowd in their war for third.
With seven laps to go, Mintz and Blaney, who had pulled away slightly from the rest of the field, raced into lapped traffic. Blaney would use the lapped cars to drive under Mintz exiting turn four to grab the lead on lap 24 while Ridge, Reed and a charging Andrews continued to battle for third.
Mintz didn’t panic…he stayed close to Blaney and then used a lapped car as a pick and drove around Blaney for the lead again with two laps to go. Blaney would continue to race to Mintz’ inside, but could not get the pass as Mintz went on to the victory with Blaney, Andrews, Ridge and 13th starting Bryan Sebetto rounding out the top five.
In the 25 lap late model feature, Curtis Deisenroth and Cody Scott would bring the field to the green, with Scott assuming the lead with Deisenroth racing to his inside while third place starter Henry right on their rear bumpers. Henry would grab second on lap 4 using the extreme bottom groove and immediately raced to Scott’s inside. Henry would drive under Scott exiting turn four coming down to complete the fifth circuit to take the lead. Henry would pull away slightly while 11th starter Rusty Schlenk was one of the few cars to use the high line to rocket into second by lap nine.
Schlenk methodically started to eat away at Henry’s lead as they raced into lapped traffic. A caution on lap 13 for a three car pile-up involving Ky Harper, Rob Anderzack and John Bores, would see Schlenk get caught up and spin trying to avoid the mess in turn three, moving him to the tail. On the restart, Larry Kingseed and Harper would spin in separate incidents. Now, with a clear track, Henry would rocket away from Scott with Deisenroth trying to hold off a charging Ryan Missler and Mike Bores.
Missler would use the high line to take second on lap 17 with Scott, Bores and Deisenroth in pursuit.. The final caution would fly on lap 19 for a Justin Chance spin with the running order Henry, Missler, Scott, Mike Bores and Dan Wallace. On the restart, Bores would drive beside Scott before they were past the restart cone and would be docked two positions at the end of the race.
Meanwhile, Henry, who had spent the entire race hugging the bottom, decided to try the middle groove and it worked to perfection as he pulled away the final five laps for the win. Missler, Wallace, Scott and Mike Bores (after being docked two spots for the restart mistake) would round out the top five.
In the 25-lap 305 sprint feature, Foos and Jimmy Colvin would bring the field to the green with Foos racing side by side with Colvin for the lead while John Ivy grabbed third. Foos and Colvin would wage a spirited battle for the top spot over the next nine laps until they got into lapped traffic on lap 8. Foos was able to pull away slightly from Colvin with Ivy battling Paul Weaver for third. Weaver would drive into second on lap 12.
As Foos and Weaver drove into traffic on lap 15 that was racing two and some times three wide in front of the leaders, Weaver closed quickly for the lead. Colvin, Caleb Griffith, Ivy and Dustin Dinan also made up ground on the lead pair. But once though the heavy traffic, Foos was able to pull away the final four laps to take the win over Weaver, Griffith, Colvin and Ivy.
Attica Raceway Park will be back in action Friday, May 18 for Merrill Lynch/All Pro Aluminum Heads Night. It will be a Kistler Racing Products FAST Championship Series night for the 410 sprints and the first FAST night of the year for the 305 sprints with the UMP late models also in competition.
